On October my class and I celebrated the Feast of Mary cause for us that is what October is all about. We also learned and wrote facts of why/how is Mary called the Mother of the church and of God.

The Feast Of Our Lady Of The Rosary.

On October the 7th it’s the day of Our Lady Of The Rosary. Some of you might be a little bit confused because isn’t October all about halloween?. Well October is all about Mary (Jesus’s Mother) and (Our Lady Of The Rosary). 

That day tells us religious people that  if we are ever in danger or need some help they can always go to our mother (Mother Mary).

When did the Feast Of Mary Start?.

The Feast of Mary started in the 7th century in the Eastern churches in Milan Ravenna in Italy.

 How did the Feast Of the Rosary Begin?. According to google Mary charged the Rosary to St.Dominic in the 13th century to help in strife with Albigensian’s. 

So just remember guys celebrate the Feast Day Of Our Lady Of The Rosary.

 However, I personally think that smart speakers can be useful. You are probably asking for an explanation on how smart speakers are useful?.

Smart speakers can also be really handy for some people and according to google smart speakers can be exceptional for little kids because they said it will be accessible for their bedtime stories, YouTube videos and cartoons. 

They also think smart speakers can be helpful for people who have trust issues with every single human being on earth. They can set up a home alarm for if a burglar breaks into their home or if someone ram raids it, they also can be helpful for people who are too busy to do everything at once.

They can also realise people’s voices and help them distribute them with balanced tasks. Well smart speakers can be functional for some people.

But on the other hand, smart speakers can be listening and eavesdropping on people’s conversations especially on their really personal phone calls.Like their conversations with their doctor, police, family members, their partners and phone calls.

 

Is Online School better than In Real Life School?.

I particularly choose Yes and No because there are a lot of reasons why and I will explain that to you. I have positive reasons and some negative reasons. 

POSITIVE 🙂

My first reason is YES. Because we will not have to worry about rushing to put on your clothes, making sure your shoes, lunch, bag and other stuff you need to take to school is ready. 

My second reason for why I said YES is because we can relax and do our homework at the same time and we can be warm and comfortable in our own clothes. Everyone also doesn’t have to worry about getting their homework done in time.

 -NEGATIVE-

 My second reason is NO because some of us can be going on the wrong site and doing what we are not supposed to be doing, especially on our school accounts. 

My other reason is NO because some kids can be starting some drama on social media and cyberbullying other kids which is not right. Sometimes online school can be fun but it can be bad at the same time because social media can be dangerous and sketchy for young kids like us. 

• NEGATIVE –  AND POSITIVE 🙂 REASONS.

But online school can be a lot cheaper than In Real Life School but sometimes we need school to learn more and socialise with people and you can talk to your friends and people you love hanging out with every week day.

Swimming 2023

Why do we have swimming lessons?.

We have swimming lessons because Saint Patrick’s school will want to learn how to survive in the ocean if you’re either lost, stuck, drowning or in danger. We also have swimming to also have fun.

When did we start swimming.

We started swimming on August 1st which is the beginning of term 3. We had bring was our swimming togs, Swimming cap (If you don’t have any then you can wrap your hair in a bun), towel, sweater, Jacket or an oodie because once we come out of the pool we will shivering with coldness and we also have to bring swimming caps so that people with long hair can’t get their hair stuck on the pool ropes because trust me it will hurt so bad you might even be crying.

What did we learn in swimming?.

In swimming we learned life saving skills cool swimming moves at Swim Magic and we also got along with our swimming inspector and her name is Izzy she is really cool and she had a spectacular vibe that I will forever remember deeply in my heart. We also got to do manus, belly flops and cool jumps but not back flips because the water is too shallow and we might get hurt so back flips in the pool is a real no no.

What did we love about Swimming.

What I loved about swimming was having fun learning new things getting to swim everyday and also getting to get along with our swimming inspectors. I will miss swimming so much it was the best moment of term 3.

What is a whirlpool ?.  Well a  whirlpool is a body of rotating water that is produced by rival currents or a current that is running into a hurdle. 

What are whirlpools caused by?. Whirlpools are caused by a rotating body of water which is created by hurdling currents.

What causes whirlpools?. Whirlpools are occurrences that can form when the water is moving into two different directions in contact with each other and also interact in an unusual way. Whirlpools also happen in small ocean sounds with fast flowing water.

Which country has the biggest Whirlpool?. One of the biggest whirlpools is called the Saltstraumen Whirlpool in Knaplund Soya in Norway. The Saltstraumen Whirlpool  isn’t a circular whirlpool it is a flowing current that is humorously large and  strong that it shapes whirlpools within the present itself. 

How can you escape a Whirlpool while on a boat?.  Well you can escape by using strong paddle punches to make you break off the current and it will set you free.

How long does Whirlpools actually last?. According to scientists, whirlpools last for 198 days but it can last for a short time period like 166 days or 140. 

How can Whirlpools form?. Whirlpools can form by heavy currents that can flow into a hurdle like walls or a barrier. In some cases whirlpools can be formed by loose currents and tides.
