My Art work that I chose was an Art work that represents a festival named Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa is a festival that is held by many African Americans from December the 26th to the 1st of January as a celebration of their Cultural and traditional values.
Many people think that Kwanzaa is a religion but it is in fact a holiday that is celebrated Black people in Canada and the Caribbean which started being popular in the 1990s.
Some people were surprised that ant people of all races and ethnicity are welcome to celebrate Kwanzaa which means anyone can celebrate it. Kwanzaa is also older than Christmas and Hanukkah which surprised me and others.
